Free Card Fraud Protection Services
Due to the situation surrounding COVID-19, fraud is on the rise and 2020 trends show this will continue to be a concern moving forward. As your Credit Union, we are committed to providing you with the most advanced fraud protection solutions available. Below are two FREE services to help you fight card fraud and stop it in its tracks.
Visa Purchase Alert
This service allows you to enroll both credit and debit cards. The service also provides the following email and text alert options:
- Alert me when a purchase meets or exceeds a certain dollar amount.
- Alert me when my card is used outside the US.
- Alert me when a purchase is made online or by phone.
You can receive custom notifications for each card you enroll and the notifications can be edited at any time. Once you create an account and enroll one or more card(s), you will receive a code via email to access the site. The site walks you through a few quick steps and the card alert activation takes seconds. This easy to use service will send you a text alert when a purchase is made on your card.

Interactive Text Alert
This is a fraud monitoring service that uses interactive text alerts for debit card transactions only. This service stops card fraud by texting you as soon as suspicious activity is detected.
You will continue to receive phone calls and/or email communication on suspected fraud. The text messaging feature is simply an additional alert that you can enroll in for immediate notification.
The difference between Visa Purchase Alerts and Interactive Text Alerts is that your notification from Interactive Text Alerts comes from EnFact, our fraud monitoring service. If you receive a notification from EnFact, this means a triggering purchase or event was deemed suspicious and needs your response to authorize the activity.

Once your debit card is enrolled, you will receive a text confirmation. Reply YES to the text to confirm, and your text alert enrollment is complete. You will only receive text messages from this service if suspicious fraud activity occurs on your debit card.
If you reply NO, a contact number will be provided for you to call and review recent transactions.
