Financial Tip:
Do not take early distributions from a 401(k). Significant taxes and penalties may be incurred, and it defeats the purpose of saving for retirement if the funds are withdrawn early. If you are in a bind and need funds, a better option is to meet with a Credit Union loan officer to discuss the various loan options available.
